Go Back

The second leg of our trip took us to the West Indies. 8 Days in Antigua with lots of sun, fun and Rum!  (NOTE: Working on the picture captions!)

Shot from our beech chairs. Note that I didnt move to take this picture nor did I spill my drink!

Lobby of the Royal Antigian

Sunday was Shirley Heights day. Awaiting the sunset

A regular party that happens every Sunday night

Now thats a bathroom with a view!

Amazing views

Hmm... Giant Asparagus? Dunno...

Okay - sorry for the finger shot - but check out the folks waiting for the sunset

Lots of Goats all over the place

Here it comes

I crush your head! I crush your head! (guess you have to be a vintage SNL fan to understand)

The perfect shot!

last yacht scurry's to make anchorage before nightfall

On the cliffs of Shirley Hieghts

Sundown. We looked for the green flashes - but didnt see em. Must have been the Rum!

The Party begin - but we are done..

Need some sun

The path to/from our favorite spot

The Andies Rest. on the other end of our beach

Another beach-chair shot

Screw the Tiki Bar drinks! We have our own bar thats even closer! The cost of two rounds of drinks was equal to one bottle of large rum!

Our favorite spot

We called it the Lobster Shanty. Its did have a name

View from Fort Barrington

Another from Fort Barrington with our favorite spot below

Waiting for the Bar to open

Good shot of the beach from the fort

Heading up into the fort

This is not just a senesless water shot. Look closely and in the center you will see the wreck of the Andie's

The lone Palm Tree

The plaque on Ft. Barrington

Interesting fort

Jesse preps our lunch

Ahh - Lobster

Now thats what I call lunch!

In St John's for some shopping. Lunch at Hemingway's

This was probably funnier with some Rum - but that has got to be the smallest Van in the world!

Hemingway's

Okay - so whats wrong wit a little Bar hopping

Getting our portrait done. We tried dodging him but he found us...

Turned out to be a very interesting character

Some folks we met that sailed from Spain (no kidding!)

Ok... The Rum is working :-)

The good life

Shot from our new room. The cruise ships came and went

We picked the right day to go to St John, three ships arrive the morning

Great shot from the room overlooking the beach, Fort Barrington and the departing cruise ship

The moring visitor. We thought he was intersted inthe bread, He wanted a bird bath!

Downtown for dinner

Not the best picture - but next time we have to try this street vendor. He was busier than where we had dinner. Must be good!

Steel drum band back at the hotel

This guy was the towel boy (I guess). I think he had more fun that anyone...

back at our favorite place speaking to the Chef of a nearby resort

The perfect Combo

Rum -n- Ting

Now thats a yacht! A 12 meter that arrived in Deep Bay for the night - Wow!

Working hard to keep the customers happy.
